![]() Great mod that allows you to tweek many aspects of buildings. most of them commented out, except for MaximumHouseDistance and MaxSpouseWorkDistance which affect what housing citizens will use My Mods and their updates (anything in the file with - before it has been commented out):ġ) boat cargo x10 Mod (standard, no changes)Ģ) Road Cheat Mod to lay road on top of road using ctrl (standard, no changes)ģ) RoadRage mod (speeds up traffic and moves around teamsters that have been frozen due to the bug - standard, no changes)Īdded - a number of properties added to the file that affect different aspects of play. ![]() Mods can be edited with notepad, just make sure they stay. the main BTweak mod was put together by DarthPresidente, and I have added lines to the mods as info comes up on the thread. The base mods have been compiled by the awesome crew over on the Kalypso Tropico 5 boards. Game needs mod support, not 1 building DLC's.Here is a link with details on my mods. For a modern game in 2014, this just isn't good enough. Why bother to continue playing something that isn't getting fixed and isn't getting the content it needs? Why should we pay more money to get content that really should have been there in the first place?Ĭan't even amend textures or add in new looking buildings. Having this stance is just going to lose player base even more. You can add as much rip-off DLC as you like, it will still be a broken game (yes, even with prisons) until you really start listening to what people are asking for, and have asked for since day 1 and even before hand from the Beta players. ![]() As it stands now, its viewed as a broken game. If you aren't going to fix what people see as broken, then provide tools and a way for people to mod this aspect themselves. This is simply not good enough these days. Feedback appears to have been ignored and a statement of 'it works as we want it' has been said. Its been 6 patches so far and still nothing has been done on rebels which was a key issue right from the start. Many games already do this, so it can be done. Or, warn mods in use and offer to sync mods used to each player so they all have the same thing. ![]() If you aren't going allow mods on MP, then you seriously need to add in ALOT more variables for people to change so they can create a game more to their liking. Restricting MP games to vanilla only is setting yourself up for being doomed. It may even make the full asking price semi worth it (as it stands now, it really isn't value for money, sorry). Tropico 5 could have alot of life bought back into it if you actually provided mod tools and a place where people could easily access mods for the game. The games are MANY years old now and still have a large fanbase largely down to this factor. Heck they even support people in doing this. Lets take Valve games for example, I don't think i've come across one game (exluding DOTA), that doesn't make it incredibly easy for the user to mod their game, change variables, replace graphics etc. Steam Workshop support for modern games released on steam is a big factor these days, and if workshop support is not given, then people will be looking for easy access to mod tools for their game. Copy/paste of what I wrote in the Banished or Tropico thread which got off topic and onto MP mods not supported. ![]()
